The Crown Renovation

( Rendering provided by STA Architectural Group)

As we near completion of the installation for the newly-renovated Crown of Miami Beach, we thought we would share a little bit of history on this 18-story building that dates back to World War II. Located at 4041 Collins Avenue on the Atlantic Ocean & 41st Street, the originally named Lord Tarleton Hotel designed by Victor Nellenbogen opened in 1940 as the tallest hotel structure on Miami Beach.

The original cost of the 151-room building, including the ocean front property, was $750,000.00. It was also the first hotel on the Beach to feature all-corner rooms. Due to its historical significance, we were required to maintain the integrity of the initial building plan by researching the original finishes and materials used in the hotel and duplicating them for this extensive renovation.
